Everything is growing around here: geese, 1st sowing of spinach/arugula/salad. The radish are up. Cucumbers/tomatoes/basil all transplanted into the main greenhouse. And we are ready for more snow this weekend! 024
Pricking out beet seedlings for early season CSA beets. The holes in the background were for the dahlias that were planted yesterday. Thanks Ben and Laura for digging such beautiful holes - planting the dahlias was a breeze!
Me: "Honey, on your way back from Snowbird can you swing by IFA and pick up some weed barrier for the farm?" Tor: "Sure, no prob." This is what he came home with! They kept us company while we seeded the 2nd sowing of scallions. Pretty dang snuggly. But.....these are not mine. Joint
Up potting the first sowing of tomatoes and peppers. What a lovely way to spend this snowy day!
The tomato, pepper, and basil seeds that were started 2 weeks ago are up and looking good! At night they get tented on the little scaffold they are on, with heaters underneath to keep them toasty.
Some of the varieties we'll be growing here this summer. Started these beauties last week.
Tiss the season....and feels like it too! 450 basil starts for the main greenhouse. Hoop House basil is started in a few more weeks.
