Last week we finished up transplanting the hoop houses. The main greenhouse was fully planted (and packed with additional seed starts) in the second week of April. I’ve added pictures from the day of transplant in the main greenhouse, and pictures from today. Quite a difference in just 3 weeks.
You will notice in the pictures of the hoop houses that the seedlings have either a wire or a plastic guard around them…..that is to try to prevent the voles from eating the seedlings down to nubbins…..which they did to quite a few last year. So far, so good. We have lost a couple, but for the most part they are working. The wire ones are probably going to be more effective…..although a lot more time consuming to make.
